A Birthday with a Beat
“When planning my birthday party, I wanted to make it special.” It’s always nice to gather with family and chat — but I wanted something more. Having attended several of Jirka’s workshops and drumming sessions before, I decided to invite him to lead a short program. He easily adapted the activities to suit all ages — from preschoolers to grandparents — and it worked perfectly. Those who wanted joined in; others enjoyed listening. The finale, when he played the African lyre, was truly enchanting and left everyone smiling. A huge thank-you for a beautiful, heart-warming experience!
