Drumming & Rhythm Play

- We explore the oldest instrument in the world – the human body – and jam on boomwhackers, djembe drums and other percussive instruments.
- The program unfolds as a fun story that keeps kids moving, imagining, and creating.

Get inside the beat!
- For primary schools · 45 min · 10–50 kids
- A lively rhythm workshop focused on coordination, groove and teamwork.
- Body percussion, boomwhackers, African drums and creative improvisation.
- Together we form a band and learn how rhythm works from the inside out.
- For 1st and 2nd stage primary school students

BD BEAT SHOW
- For primary & secondary schools · 5–45 min · 50–250 kids
- High-energy performance by 2–4 musicians using their bodies and unconventional instruments – buckets, brooms, bins and anything that makes a beat.
- A raw, urban, rhythm-driven experience.
The Story of Rhythm
- For kindergartens & 1st stage primary · 50–60 min · 25–80 kids
- A musical journey from ancient tribal communication to today’s African rhythms.
- Kids become part of a living village, discovering traditional instruments, stories, and the pulse of everyday life in old African kingdoms.

Body Percussion – Your Body as an Instrument
- For primary schools · 45 min · 10–50 kids
- Claps, snaps, stomps – and suddenly you’re making music.
- This program boosts memory, coordination, rhythm and communication, combining body percussion with boomwhackers.

Music Show + Workshop
- For primary schools · 5–45 min
- A vibrant live performance on African instruments such as djembe, dunduns, balafon, kora and more
- Optionally followed by an interactive workshop.

Instructor:
Jiriba / Jorge / Jiří Bouda
Multi-instrumentalist and educator performing since 2001.
Studied African kora, djembe and balafon in Guinea, England, France & Spain under masters like Epina Bagoura, Djakali Kone or Famadou Konate.
Performs with Ritmo Factory, Korajunglejazz, BD Beat and leads numerous Denbaya music projects.

José Vata
Born in Matadi, Congo, raised among rich Bantu musical traditions.
After experiencing the Angolan civil war, he settled in the Czech Republic.
A key artistic and cultural inspiration behind Denbaya’s educational programs since 2015.
